During my very first networking mixer as a solo-entrepreneur, I met a woman who was a full-time mom, wife, friend, and professional businesswoman. Her husband runs a local company here in Denver and was coming up on his 4th business anniversary! She wanted to have a gift curated to celebrate this accomplishment and encourage him as he continued leading the team. After speaking with her and learning about her husband and understanding her goals for the gift, we determined to theme the gift around “Running a Business” (he is an avid runner).

After time sourcing, curating, and brainstorming ideas that could grow with him and the business, here is what I put together:

• Running shorts with the company logo embroidered on the back to remind him what he started, and 4 tally marks on the front to keep him moving forward another year! We can even add a tally mark every anniversary from here.

• Custom shoelace tags for his running shoes with the company logo engraved on them as another reminder of what he has accomplished so far and to keep him moving forward.

• Colorado-founded small business energy snack brands to keep him fueled for whatever comes next.

• And, to speak to his bold personality and love of going all in, a bright color scheme for all items.

It was an honor to help celebrate Roman and his accomplishments while giving him reminders to continue running after his goals. 👟
