Housewarming Gift for Meike

A non-profit business Executive Director came to me wanting to curate a gift for a beloved team member who was moving to a small town and would not be in the office anymore. She wanted to show appreciation while giving a housewarming gift. I had two days to curate a beautiful gift speaking to the heart of her team member.

After everything I learned about the giftee, Meike, here’s what I picked up around Denver for them to gift her:

  • A handmade felt papaya measuring tape and “dead stock” fabric because the giftee designs and makes her own clothes.

  • A “Ski Ya Later” patch because she is an avid skier, with a nod to moving away.

  • A precious little frame that doesn’t clutter her desk but that the team added handwritten words to, reminding her how much they appreciate her.

  • And a eucalyptus bundle for the shower because moving can be tough in more than one way.

All the little details came together to leave a lasting impact on their team member, and I was honored to have helped. 💛

“Katey truly nailed the Meike vibe in the very best of ways.”
